Play: "The Informer"

Playwright, poet and Blackfish Gallery Member Merridawn Duckler presents her contemporary adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s 1942 play “The Informer,” which examines the effects of paranoia, political pressure and isolation on a family that fears a young son may be an informant.  Brecht’s powerful short drama remains a Marxian masterpiece in an age of misinformation, which is every age, notes Duckler.  The play dramatizes Brecht’s saying: “No one can be good for long if goodness is not in demand.”
