Artist Talk: James Allen

Join the Portland Art Museum for an artist talk with James Allen. Allen transforms used books into sculptural reliefs by selectively cutting through pages, keeping fragments of images and words to create a composition using the content of the book. His work is in several public collections, including the Fine Art Library and Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library at UCLA and Johns Hopkins University’s Milton S. Eisenhower Library.
