Based in Portland, Marie Watt (b. 1967) is an acclaimed multidisciplinary artist whose work draws upon personal experience, indigenous traditions, protofeminism, mythology, and art history. Storywork: The Prints of Marie Watt, From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation showcases over 60 prints, sculptures, and textiles that highlight the artist’s career from 1996 to the present, as well as her deep connections to her roots as a member of the Seneca Nation (Turtle Clan) and her German-Scot ancestry.
