D. E. May: Postcards from Islandsalem This exhibition chronicles the life of this nationally recognized Salem mixed media artist, who was born in Salem and who spent his entire life here, referring to it as "Islandsalem." The exhibition will feature a range of his drawings and constructions made from found materials--cardboard, old maps, different types of paper, and stamps--and will include a number of works from the late artist's studio as well as the Hallie Ford Museum of Art, which has a large body of May's work.
