Olivia Johnson - Tapestry/Therapy
In Tapestry/Therapy, Olivia Johnson transforms social and political data into hand-crocheted tapestries, using the repetitive process as a meditative way to process and confront forces that feel beyond her control. By applying design methodologies to a medium historically dismissed as “women’s work,” she challenges gender biases and reclaims crochet as fine art. On view through November 29.
