Lukas Kubeja - Diaries
In Diary Kubeja's body of oil paintings and wax pencil drawings investigate the contemporary realities of life as it blends increasingly with digital media, exploring themes of isolation, longing, grief, and nostalgia. Beginning with deep-internet research and a diaristic photography practice, Kubeja builds an image archive which evolves into the subjects of his paintings. He seeks to explore a dismal view of critical issues and document the trepidatious era in which he came of age calling the viewer to question the limits of their emotional landscape and the limitlessness of life online.
