Visiting Artist Lecture: MK Guth

Elizabeth Leach Gallery artist MK Guth with give a lecture at University of Oregon's Lawrence hall in Eugene, Oregon. In her lecture, Interaction and the Social Landscape, Guth will discuss the ways in which her work pays close attention to rituals and sites of social interaction in our everyday experiences. Guth invites the visitor to question where exactly the artwork exists, whether it is in the object, the performance, or somewhere more liminal in the context of the gallery space, which functions simultaneously as the site of presentation, performance, dining hall, or even a tavern.
